Haley and Alex’s two day adventure elopement in the Canadian Rockies began in Canmore, Alberta, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

Helicopter Elopement Experience in Canmore, Alberta

Day One kicked off with a breathtaking helicopter ride departing from Canmore, Alberta with Alpine Helicopters. From the moment we lifted off, the magnitude of the Rockies became undeniable. Soaring above rugged peaks and untouched alpine landscapes, it was clear this elopement would be something truly once in a lifetime.

For Haley and Alex, Alberta is home, and Banff and Canmore have always been places where they reconnect with each other and the outdoors. Beginning their elopement with a helicopter experience felt deeply intentional and symbolic of their adventurous spirit.

The following morning began with a 3:00 a.m. wake up call early, yes, but absolutely worth it. As dawn broke over Lake Louise, soft pastel skies reflected across the still water while golden light wrapped the surrounding glacier peaks. A glowing full moon lingered overhead, creating a moment that felt completely unreal. While most visitors quietly admired the view, Haley and Alex embraced the moment fully. Hand in hand, they ran straight into the icy glacier water, laughing and splashing as the mountains stood witness. Even with onlookers nearby, it felt as though the world faded away leaving only their love and the landscape. After warming up, we hiked along the shoreline of Lake Louise. The rising sun illuminated the peaks, the air carried hints of pine and glacier mist, and the newlyweds couldn’t stop smiling. It was one of those mornings that feels rare, grounding, and deeply meaningful.

Our final stop of the morning was Bow Lake, tucked between towering peaks and known for its striking turquoise water. Haley and Alex climbed into a canoe for a playful midday adventure. Though it appeared effortlessly romantic, a few wobbly moments had us laughing the kind of memories that make an elopement truly unforgettable.
